Uses
An herbal beverage made from this large, flavorful flower can be served hot and cold. The drink has an extremely flowery aroma and fruity-tart flavor, reminiscent of cranberry. Several trials using hibiscus extracts have suggested that hibiscus can lower blood pressure in people with hypertension. Steep hibiscus with a few cinnamon sticks for a richer flavor. Steeping hibiscus for more than 20 minutes will result in a bitter tea.
Selection, Storage & Handling
Store tea in an airtight container or store bag in a dry area, away from direct sunlight and heat.
