Uses:
Habas Peladas from Don Enrique is the Spanish name for Dried Peeled Fava Beans. Resembling large lima beans, Habas Peladas from Don Enrique are quite popular among Chinese, English, Spanish, African and South American cooks. In general, preparation of fava beans (also known as Broad Beans, English Beans, Windsor Beans and Horse Beans) has always included peeling away the tough outer skin of each pod, thus creating an increase in prep time. The tough outer skins of Don Enrique Habas Peladas have already been removed. Thus, with preparation made easy, overall time is reduced and peeled Habas Peladas from Don Enrique are easily enjoyed in soups, stews, dips and main entrees.
Selection, Storage & Handling:
Don Enrique’s Habas Peladas are hand packed for excellent quality. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 9 months.
Don Enrique’s Habas Peladas should be cooked (see recipe below) before adding to any favorite recipe. 1/ 8 oz. package of Don Enrique’s peeled Habas Peladas will yield 3 cups.
