Uses
This herb is a staple in Italian, Mexican, Turkish and Greek cuisines to season an array of sauces and dishes. Ground Oregano is a great ingredient in rubs for meat, fish or fowl! Mexican oregano has an earthier flavor than oregano from Greece, which supplies most of the world with the powdered form of this herb. Vegetables that work well with oregano include eggplant, red peppers, green beans and tomatoes.
Selection, Storage & Handling
Store in an airtight container, in a cool, dry place. Use until the powdered herb loses its aroma when stirred.
