Uses
Ginger root in its powder form is a seasoning most often used to flavor cakes, cookies, breads, and beverages. Fresh Ginger has a fiery pungent taste that is mellowed considerably when ground into a powder. Do not substitute dry ginger for fresh in Asian dishes as the taste is completely different.
Selection, Storage & Handling
Store ground ginger in an airtight container in a cool, dark place for up to three months.
