Uses:

Melissa’s Green Peas are quick and convenient. Unlike dry peas which require a few hours of soaking to replenish their moisture before using, these pre-soaked beans and peas are available in easy-to-display, see-through, shatterproof tubs (11oz.) and carry a 21-day shelf life (versus the 7-10 day shelf life often associated with bag beans.) Once cooked, Green Peas may be added to soups, salads, stews, and casseroles.

Selection, Storage & handling:

With a shelf life of 21 days, Melissa’s Vegetarian Black Beans, Blackeyed Peas, Garbanzo Beans, and Green Peas are packaged for excellent quality and must be refrigerated.

In an uncovered 3-quart saucepan, bring 2 ½ cups of unsalted water to a boil. Add 11-oz. tub of Melissa’s Beans or Peas. Return to a boil. Reduce heat and bring to a gentle-rolling boil for 8-10 minutes or until tender. Drain and discard water.
