Uses
Plumcots are a hybrid mix between plums and apricots and are mostly plum-like in texture and taste. As one of the last varieties to be harvested in the season, the Green Goose is extremely sweet and juicy. This variety has greenish yellow skin with a red blush; the interior fruit is light yellow with a slightly crunchy texture. The fruit’s distinctive taste makes it a great ingredient in salads, glazed tarts or dessert sauce and will hold its shape on the grill. Product of California.
Selection, Storage & Handling
Choose fruit that is firm ripe with no bruises or skin discoloration. Ripen quickly at room temperature because of their high sugar content; keep refrigerated.
