Uses:

Melissa’s Garlic Scapes are a must have for this summers grilling season! Garlic Scapes are the tops of a “hard neck” garlic variety before the bulbs are developed. Also known as garlic stems, spears, or tops, these tender green "unopened flowers with stems” are the seedpod that forms on hard neck garlic plants in June every year. Melissa’s Garlic Scapes taste milder than whole garlic cloves. Cook them as you would asparagus, sautéed or steamed. Scapes offer a wide range of uses from soups, stir fries, salads to garnishes. Their flavor makes a perfect harmony when mixed with grilled summer vegetables. Melissa’s Garlic Scapes are highly prized and traditionally used in Southern, European, and Asian cuisine because of their subtle garlic flavor and tender-crisp texture.
