Uses:

There are over 200 varieties of corn, which is a grain native to the Americas, that can be found growing in the United States today. Corn is considered a resourceful and versatile product since the entire corn plant can be used: husks for tamales, silk for medicinal tea, kernels for food, and stalks for fodder. Baby Corn which is particularly popular in Thai and Chinese cooking, can be purchased fresh, in cans and jars, or in new tubs from Melissa’s. Melissa’s tender Baby Corn can be steamed or boiled for a quick, easy meal. Baby Corn is also used in appetizers, soups, chowders, stews, and stir-fry dishes. Melissa’s Baby Corn contained in all-new plastic tubs which locks in freshness and will not shatter.

Selection, Storage & Handling:

Melissa’s Baby Corn is hand packed for excellent quality. Kernels should be plump and milky, rows should be tightly spaced. Keep refrigerated. Shelf life for whole Baby Corn in tubs is 45 days.

For Baby Corn still in husk, remove and discard husk and silk. For Baby Corn unhusked, no additional preparation in required.
