Uses

Plumcots are hybrid crosses between plums and apricots. The Flavor Queen variety has a greenish-yellow skin that covers a very pale white-yellow interior fruit with a plum texture. The taste is mildly sweet with juicy front flavor of plum and a decidedly apricot aftertaste. This summer specialty fruit has a very limited availability for only three weeks during the peak of the summer season. Product of California.

Selection, Storage & Handling

Choose fruit that is firm ripe with no mechanical cuts or soft bruise areas. Good storage life; will keep for up to a week if kept under refrigeration.
