Uses
Melissa's Steamed Fava Beans are an all natural, non-GMO crop with no artificial colors or flavors of any kind added during processing. A delicious alternative to fresh Fava beans for today’s busy consumer, these beans are peeled, steamed and ready-to-eat right out of the shelf stable vacuum sealed bag, with very little preparation. They can be heated up in the convenient microwave wrap or cooked on the stovetop in boiling water. Fava beans work well in any vegetable sauté or simply served by themselves with a little butter, salt and pepper. Try frying them on high heat, causing the skin to split open and then add salt for a savory, crunchy snack. Product of France.
Selection, Storage & Handling
Melissa’s Steamed Fava Beans must be stored in the refrigerator, with a storage life of 3 months unopened. However, after opening, this product should be used within two days.
