Melissa's Dried Shiitake Mushrooms have a great earthy flavor that gives many Asian recipes their distinctive taste. Melissa's Dried Shiitake Mushrooms are superb when used in soups and sauce bases. Once rehydrated, Melissa's Dried Shiitake Mushrooms can be served as a main course or appetizer and will add flavor and texture to sauces, meatless main dishes and stir-fries.
Selection, Storage & Handling:
Melissa's Shiitake Mushrooms are hand selected for excellent quality. Store in a cool, dry place.
To reconstitute, blanch in boiling water for 2 – 5 minutes or soak 30 minutes in lukewarm water, wine or consommé. If desired, reserve liquid to add flavor to dishes.
