Usage

Dapple Dandy Plumcots are a hybrid of a plum and an apricot. They mainly retain the characteristics and flavor of a plum. Their skin is a light reddish-yellow color with small speckles. Every year they become more available in stores across the U.S. as demand and production rises. This fruit has one of the highest brix level readings on a refractometer, meaning that it has a very sweet taste!

Selection, Storage & Handling

They may bruise easily when ripe, so handle with care. To ripen Dapple Dandies, keep at 65 - 70ยบ. They are ripe when they give to gentle pressure. Note: Dapple Dandies and other plumcots are sensitive to ethylene producing fruits and vegetables.
