Uses:
Chinese yams are the edible root of a fast-growing climbing plant and grow in varying sizes and shapes. From elongated and extremely large to small and round, the flesh of this starchy vegetable ranges from gray-white to yellow to gold and from orange-red to purple. Offering a bland flavor, the texture is slightly dry and floury.
