Uses

A very flavorful summer pear, the Sunsprite is small in size but large in juicy sweet taste. Even though the variety is sometimes called a “baby Bartlett” because of its similar shape, it does not turn a golden yellow when ripe. Instead, look for a subtle lightening in its green color, to a green with a slight yellow hue background. The fruit’s small size makes it the perfect summer snack for children or served on cheese platters. Product of California.

Selection, Storage & Handling

Choose fruit that is green-yellow color with no soft brown spots or mechanical cuts. Will ripen quickly at room temperature; will keep for several weeks in refrigerator.
