Green Dragon Apples are a hybrid cross between a Japanese Orin and a Golden Delicious. The result is a fruit that has the high shouldered shape of the Delicious variety but the pleasingly sweet pineapple-pear flavor of an Orin. Dragon apples have a pale green skin that is dotted with conspicuous lenticels. The fruit is very aromatic.
Selection, Seasonality & Origin
Apples should be extremely firm with no mechanical cuts or obvious bruises. All perishable produce must be refrigerated to maintain freshness, flavor and shelf life.
