Uses:
Melissa’s Black Radish is encased in a dark brown to black skin. This radish can grow up to 3 or 4 inches in diameter, and resemble the shape of a turnip. The pungent and slightly acidic interior is a crisp white color. The sharp bite of Melissa’s Black Radish is delicious fresh out of hand as well as an addition to salads and main dishes. For a great side dish chop up black radish and mix with other vegetables to grill or sauté.
Melissa’s Black Radish is a good source of Potassium and vitamins A as well as low in calories.
Selection, Storage & Handling:
When selecting Melissa’s Black Radish, look for pieces with good size and color. Pick a radish with firm roots and crisp white flesh. Refrigerate whole in a plastic bag for up to one month. Freezing is not recommended.
