Cornstarch Slurry

Dissolved in water, cornstarch is used to thicken sauces (especially stir-fry and Asian dishes) giving them an attractive transparent glaze.










Using a wire whisk or a fork, mix cornstarch and water until thoroughly mixed. Always stir mixture again just before using because the starch settles.










Thin:

3 tablespoons Water

1 tablespoon Cornstarch

Thick:

1 tablespoons Water

1 tablespoon Cornstarch
